On March 28th it was very interesting to hear about the innovations that Dr. alvarez has planned for the future of LPS. As always if you have any questions or concerns please reach out.
On September 14th, the Lynn School Committee approved a new security policy for our schools. I voted yes to this and stand by it. One of the most important jobs of a school administrator is to make the school that they are in charge of safe. I believe it is my job on the school committee to give the administrators tools that will help with this. I firmly believe that this new policy does just that.
Attached is a copy of the policy. Please know that this policy has been approved, true. However, the conversation of implementation is in the beginning stages. I am looking for feedback on how we can implement it in our schools. The superintendent will be creating a team that will work on implementation procedures. I have also included the link to the actual meeting if you would like to watch it.
At this meeting there was also curriculum updates that referred to an overarching theme of MTSS. What is MTSS? Why is LPS using it? Click on the link to find out. Please reach out with your feedback. My contact info. is on this website.

Eric brings the experience of a 20 + year veteran public school teacher to the committee. This is a critical component to a well balanced school committee.
