DUFB Program Eligibility 

Per state and federal funding, Double Up Food Bucks eligible items are: Locally grown fresh, dried, or frozen whole or cut fruits and vegetables without added sugars, fats, oils, or salt.  This includes mushrooms, fresh herbs, dried beans, and food-producing plants and seeds.  

For a farm stand to participate in the program, at least 70% percent of the Double Up-eligible produce sold* at the farm stand is to be grown by the farmer operating the farm stand. Up to 30% percent of produce can be consigned or wholesale from local** farmers.

We prioritize produce growers, as these items are Double Up-eligible. 

*Measured in volume of sales OR percentage of facing stock at the farm stand

**Local is defined as from within Oregon or a neighboring county of the farm stand in a contiguous state

Farm Stand Shopper FAQ

• What items are eligible for a 50% Double Up Food Bucks discount at participating Farm Stands?

  • • Fresh, frozen and dried fruits and vegetables, including mushrooms and dried beans, plus fresh herbs, and food-producing plant starts and seeds. All items must contain no added salt, sugar, or oils.

• Can shoppers use the physical Double Up currency distributed at farmers markets at participating farm stands? 

  • • No, our farm stand program runs separately from the program at farmers markets. At farm stands, you will receive an automatic 50% discount off Double Up-eligible items at the time of purchase, no currency is provided.
