Mobile Learning Apps Reflection
Mobile learning apps have changed the way I study, stay organized, and learn new concepts. With just a phone or tablet, I can learn anytime and anywhere. In EME2020, we reflected on the value of mobile apps in education. Here are some of the educational apps I’ve personally used and how they’ve helped me as a student.
Productivity app that supports academic success.
Reflection:
The Canvas app helps me stay organized with schoolwork. I use it to check grades, see announcements, view modules, and submit assignments.
Offers video lessons, practice quizzes, and interactive exercises across subjects like math, science, history, and SAT prep.
Reflection:
Khan Academy helped in algebra and geometry when I needed extra support outside of class. The ability to rewind videos and practice at my own pace made a big difference.
Digital planner that can be used for organizing notes, assignments, and study plans.
Reflection:
Notion has helped me keep my study schedule realistic and clear, especially during finals.
Nearpod is an interactive learning app that allows students to participate in live quizzes, polls, and lessons from their own devices.
Reflection:
I enjoyed using Nearpod because it felt more interactive than just listening to a teacher talk. It also allows students to answer anonymously, which makes it easier for shy students to participate.
Learning platform that helps students study using digital flashcards, quizzes, and games.
Reflection:
I used it daily while preparing for my Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam. Quizlet’s flashcard system and test features made it easy to study terms and definitions wherever I was.
