1. Agreement
By downloading or using Dualcam ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is provided by Dualcam ("we", "us").
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Dualcam on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Your recordings
You own everything you record. We claim no rights over it, and we never see it. You are solely responsible for what you capture and for what you do with it.
4. Recording other people
Laws on recording people, and particularly on recording audio, differ sharply between countries and between states. Some require the consent of everyone recorded. It is your responsibility to know and follow the law where you are.
You agree not to use Dualcam to record anyone unlawfully, to harass or intimidate, to record in places where recording is prohibited, or for any purpose that breaks the law where you are.
5. Privacy blur is not a guarantee
The privacy blur uses on-device face detection to obscure faces as they are recorded. Face detection is not perfect. It can lose a face that is turned away, partly hidden, poorly lit, moving quickly or at the edge of the frame, and it may miss a face entirely.
Do not rely on the blur where a failure would cause harm. It is a convenience, not a security or anonymisation guarantee. Always review a recording before sharing it if identity matters.
6. Device requirements
Simultaneous front-and-back recording requires an Apple A12 Bionic chip or later — iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and newer — and iOS 17 or later. On devices that do not support it, the app will say so rather than record. Available resolutions and frame rates depend on your hardware; the app reduces them automatically where a combination exceeds what the camera system can sustain.
7. No warranty
Dualcam is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a recording will always succeed. Recording can be interrupted by a phone call, another app taking the camera, low storage, or the device overheating.
Keep your own copies of anything important. We are not responsible for lost, corrupted or incomplete recordings.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including lost recordings, lost profits, or claims brought by people you recorded. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the app or these terms. Continuing to use the app after terms are updated means you accept them. You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the app.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Dualcam is available worldwide. Nothing above removes a right you hold under the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country you live in — where that law gives you more than these terms do, it wins.
