Privacy Policy — Blur Dualcam
Last updated: September 22, 2026
Summary
This policy explains how Blur Dualcam (“Dualcam,” “the app,” “we,” or “us”) handles information.
Dualcam processes camera footage, microphone audio, and face detection on your iPhone. The app does not upload your recordings, facial data, location, or teleprompter text to us.
You do not need to create a Dualcam account. The app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.
The app uses Apple services to check for updates, display purchase options, process purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Pro access is active. Apple handles information associated with those services under its own privacy policies.
Permissions and device access
The app uses the following permissions when you enable the corresponding features:
• Camera — to display the camera preview and capture photos and videos.
• Microphone — to record audio with your videos. If access is denied, video recording can continue without microphone audio.
• Photo Library access — when permission is available, to display a thumbnail of the most recent accessible photo or video. The app does not upload your Photo Library to us.
• Add to Photo Library — to save copies of captured photos and videos to Photos when you choose that destination.
• Location — optional, to add location information to recordings and photos when “Save GPS Location” is enabled.
You can manage these permissions in your iPhone’s Settings. Denying or revoking a permission limits the features that depend on it.
Recordings and local app information
Photos and videos are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone. The app marks its media folder as excluded from device backups.
If you choose to save media to Photos, an additional copy is placed in your Photo Library. That copy is subject to your Photos and iCloud settings and may sync through Apple’s services.
The app also stores preferences, teleprompter text, and the number of completed free recordings locally. These are used to provide app features and remember your choices. The app does not send them to a developer-operated server.
Face detection and blur
Dualcam uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework to locate and track faces for its blur feature. Camera images are not sent to an external service for face detection.
Face-detection results are used for image processing. The app does not use them to identify people, create facial identity profiles, or deliver advertising.
Blurred photos and videos are stored like other recordings. Face detection can miss faces, so the blur feature does not guarantee anonymity. Review recordings before sharing them when protecting someone’s identity matters.
Purchases and subscriptions
Dualcam offers an auto-renewable weekly Pro subscription and a one-time lifetime Pro purchase through Apple’s App Store.
Apple processes payments. We do not receive your full payment-card details or your Apple Account password.
Through Apple’s StoreKit framework, the app receives and verifies purchase information needed to provide Pro access. This can include the purchased product, transaction identifiers, subscription expiration or revocation information, and eligibility for an introductory offer.
The app uses this information to unlock features, restore purchases, and respond to subscription renewals, expiration, and refunds. The current app does not send these purchase records to a developer-operated server.
Apple may process account, transaction, device, and network information when providing App Store services. Apple also makes sales and financial reports available to developers through App Store Connect.

Update checks and external links
The app contacts Apple’s public App Store lookup service to check whether a newer version is available. The lookup includes the app’s bundle identifier, which identifies the app rather than an individual user.
As with other internet requests, the receiving service can receive your IP address and standard connection information. The update check does not include your recordings, face-detection results, location, or teleprompter text.
Opening links to our policy pages, Apple, Telegram, or other external services connects you to those services. Their handling of website or account information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Location information
“Save GPS Location” is optional and off by default. When enabled and permitted by iOS, the app may embed location coordinates in captured media and associate a location with copies saved to Photos.
Embedded location information can travel with a file when you share or upload it, unless it is removed. You can turn off “Save GPS Location” to prevent the app from adding location tags to future captures.
The app does not send your location to us.
Deletion and your choices
You can delete individual recordings from the in-app gallery. “Clear Cache” deletes recordings and photos stored in the app’s media folder; it does not clear all app settings, erase Apple’s purchase records, or cancel a subscription.
Deleting a recording from the app does not delete a copy already saved to Photos or shared elsewhere. Manage those copies in the relevant app or service.
Deleting the app removes its local app data from that installation. Copies in Photos, shared files, backups, and records held by Apple are managed separately. Offloading the app may retain its data.
Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
Support communications
If you contact us through Telegram, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your Telegram profile information, messages, screenshots, or recordings.
We use this information to respond to your request. Support messages may remain in our correspondence history. You can contact us to request deletion of messages or files we control, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
Telegram also processes information under its own privacy practices.
Children
We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its information-handling practices change. The current version and its updated date will be published on this page.
