Sorting Data in Excel
Excel makes it easy to sort data. Simply select a row or column of data and tell Excel how how you want it sorted. In this assignment, you will learn how to
- copy and paste a set of data within Excel;
- sort data in alphabetical, numerical, ascending, and descending order; and
- add different borders to cells.
When finished with this assignment, you should know the following vocabulary terms:
- alphabetical order - arranged according to the alphabet (ABC order)
- numerical order - arranged according to number or value (1, 2, 3, or 3, 2, 1)
- ascending order - arranged from smallest to largest (A, B, C or 1, 2, 3)
- descending order arranged from largest to smallest (Z, Y, X or 3, 2, 1)
