Social Studies Update:
After Spring Break, our class will begin Lesson 4 of Unit 5.
In this lesson, students will learn about state government and how it is organized. We will focus on understanding that state government is similar to our federal (national) government. Students will explore how each state has:
A leader (Governor)
Lawmakers (Legislature)

Through discussions and activities, students will begin to understand how these groups work together to make and enforce laws at the state level.
