Philippine Politics and Governance (PPG) is a specialized subject for Humanities and Social Science students in the Senior High school all over the Philippines. It is important because politics is a Social Science field. This resource will be beneficial for HUMSS students to discuss concepts regarding Philippine Politics. This will aid also teachers in teaching the subject PPG. It is taught for 80 hours in a semester.

This course introduces the students to the basic concepts and vital elements of politics from a historical-institutional perspective. In particular, it attempts to explain how the important features of our country’s political structures/ institutions, processes, and relationships developed across time; better appreciation of rights and responsibilities,; and, strengthen sociopolitical and civic community.
