Upward Bound Classic and Upward Bound Math Science are a part of the federally funded TRIO programs, whose purpose is to prepare low-income and first-generation college bound students for success in higher education. The goal of both Upward Bound programs is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in high school and to encourage them to pursue post secondary degrees.

What do our Programs Provide?

  • Academic Summer Enrichment Academy (6 weeks)

  • College and University visits and tours

  • Scholarship and internship information and application assistance

  • Academic support of high school courses

  • Supplemental courses in English, Math, Science and a foreign language

  • Career conferences and science research preparation

  • Assistance with course selection and College selection and application

  • Cultural learning experiences

  • SAT preparation

  • Community service opportunities

Because this is a federally funded program, there is NO COST to the students!

We are located at the Delaware Technical Community College- George Campus at 300 N. Orange St. in downtown Wilmington.
