Our Approach

The goal of this experiment was to develop programming resources and recommendations to facilitate the work of other digital scholarship labs whose current programs are not attracting marginalized students and researchers, or that have not been seen as welcoming to research and creative work with the potential to impact equity, diversity, or sustainability.

By experimenting with a variety of programmatic changes and innovations and assessing their effectiveness, we gained evidence and insights that we are incorporating into our own future plans for digital scholarship and outreach to underserved students and populations.

As of the end of June 2022, we are finalizing a comprehensive report of our activities and findings that will be shared through this site. In addition to sharing our activities, evidence and insights, it includes a number of templates and other resources that we hope may be of use to other libraries and digital scholarship programs.
