He is Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. He worked with Prof. Dr. Joseph Irudayaraj at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana USA as Visiting Research Scholar. Currently, he is an assistant professor in the chemistry department at Umm Al Qura University, Makkah, KSA. His most recent work involved the Drug Design of bifunctional Hybrid agents with combined anti-hyperglycemic anticancer activities. Another project involved the synthesis of novel thiazolidinedione derivatives for anti-diabetic, antioxidant, and antiglycation activities.
He has published 50 peer-reviewed research papers in national and international journals.
