BIOGRAPHY
Dr Vivian Thong is a certified Paediatrician registered under the National Specialist Register of Malaysia. Her experiences include serving at government hospitals in Klang Valley such as Ampang Hospital, Selayang Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital, as well as district hospital at Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (HoSHAS) Temerloh. She was attached with King’s College, United Kingdom, during her postgraduate training.
Besides clinical work, she is actively involved in bedside teaching, organizing courses, producing oral and poster presentations, delivering Continuous Medical Education (CME) not only in hospitals but also delivering talks in community such as schools. She has special interest in dealing with children who have learning or behavioral concerns. Prior to joining private sector, she was the Head of Unit in managing paediatric outpatient clinic at Sungai Buloh Hospital. During her tenure with the government sector, she was awarded with the “Excellence in Work Performance” twice by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. She is currently one of the panel consultants in Sin Chew Healthcare publication (医识力). She is a passionate, comprehensive and competent paediatrician.
