I am Dr. Viola Gjylbegaj, Assistant Professor of Mass Communication at Abu Dhabi University, researcher, author, translator, educator, and communication scholar. My academic and professional journey has been shaped by a lifelong passion for language, culture, media, education, and the power of communication to connect people across societies.
My work brings together several interconnected areas: strategic communication, public relations, digital media, intercultural communication, media ethics, artificial intelligence and communication, sustainability messaging, and multilingual communication. Through my teaching, research, publications, books, YouTube educational content, and industry engagement, I aim to bridge academic knowledge with real-world communication practice.

My academic journey began in Albania and continued in Rome, Italy, where I studied English Language and Literature, Publishing and Writing, Linguistic-Cultural Mediation at La Sapienza University of Rome and later completed my PhD in Italian Studies and Linguistics at Tor Vergata University. Since 2011, I have been based in the United Arab Emirates, where I continue to contribute to higher education, research, communication practice, and academic leadership.
