I am Dr. Vani Vasudevan, proud holder of a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, earned in 2013. My passion lies at the intersection of computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, machine learning, and data science.
With over 24 years of rich experience, I've navigated leadership roles across diverse educational institutions and industries worldwide, making substantial contributions to their growth and prosperity.
My scholarly journey boasts an impressive array of achievements, including over 51 peer-reviewed papers and the honor of two best paper awards at international events. Moreover, I possess a significant patent portfolio, comprising ten German patents, six Indian design patents, and three published Indian patent applications.
Beyond academia, I actively engage in the scholarly community, lending my expertise as a reviewer for esteemed international journals and technical review committees. As an ABET-approved Program Evaluator under CAC, I play a pivotal role in shaping the future of computer science as well as data science education around the globe.
My commitment to professional growth is steadfast. I hold life membership with ISTE and senior membership with IEEE, complemented by certifications in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science from industry leaders such as Google, IBM, Nvidia, and Infosys Springboard. Additionally, I am a registered patent agent recognized by the Government of India.
While my current role as a professor in higher education is fulfilling, my aspirations are set on transitioning into the IT industry, specifically as a data scientist or data analyst. This ambition is driven by my desire to apply my expertise in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science to real-world challenges in business and technology.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a knack for research, publication, and patenting, particularly in the fields of Machine Learning/Deep Learning and Data Science. Proficient in Python, R, and various ML frameworks, I have further honed my skills through Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer , Google Professional Data Analytics as well as Google Professional Advanced Data Analytics certification.
