Drunkmaster (listed on the App Store and Google Play) is a party drinking-game app with curated question packs such as Never Have I Ever, Who Would Rather, Truth or Dare, and Estimation Questions. You can use the app without registration and without creating a login account.
This privacy policy explains which data is processed when you use the app and for which purposes. For the rules governing use of the app, see our Terms of Use:
No login accounts. We do not ask for your name or email to play. Player names you enter for a round are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Mature content. The app includes an optional in-app 18+ mode with mature question text (including sexual themes and strong language). The app is not directed at children. See section 10.
Alcohol. The app is a social party-game helper. It does not sell alcohol. On each app start we show a responsible-drinking notice. See our Terms of Use for more context:
The following data stays on your device unless you uninstall the app or clear app data:
• Player names you enter for turn order (stored in app preferences).
• Game cache — downloaded question packs, package metadata, and related content cached for offline play.
• App preferences — theme (light/dark/system), language choice, sip-count defaults, tutorial flags, and similar settings.
• Advertising preference state — whether ads are disabled after a purchase or promotional license activation (local cache).
• Promotional license key — if you redeem a valid license key, the key string may be stored locally after successful activation.
We do not receive your player names or the text of questions you view during gameplay. Question text is authored by us and delivered from our backend; users cannot submit questions in the app.
To deliver game packages, questions, translations, store configuration, and maintenance status, the app connects to Google Firebase Firestore (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA/UK/CH; Google LLC elsewhere).
When the app syncs, it may read:
• Package and question documents (curated game content).
• App configuration (for example maintenance mode, supported languages, product-to-entitlement mappings).
• Localized UI strings.
These reads do not include your player names, free-text you type in the app (except license keys — see 3.7), or a history of which questions were shown in your session.
Purposes: Providing and updating game content, enforcing minimum app versions, operating the store catalog, and remote configuration.
Legal basis (EEA/UK/CH): Performance of the contract for app use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in operating and securing the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The free version of the app displays banner advertisements via Google AdMob. In regions where required (for example the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent for personalized advertising before such ads are shown.
Data that may be processed by Google AdMob includes:
• Advertising identifier of your device (for example IDFA on iOS or the advertising ID on Android), where permitted.
• IP address and approximate location derived from it.
• Device information (device model, OS version, language).
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).
Purposes: Serving and measuring ads, fraud prevention, and — where you consent — personalized advertising.
Your choices: In the EEA/UK/CH you can change ad privacy choices via Settings → Privacy → Personalized ads consent (when shown). Purchases that remove ads disable ad banners in the app. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier may also be subject to Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) when applicable.

We use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate app usage (for example which screens or features are used). The SDK may collect device and usage information such as app version, platform, and interaction events generated by the SDK.
We do not use Analytics to collect player names, question text, or gameplay session content.
Purposes: Product improvement and understanding how the app is used.
Legal basis (EEA/UK/CH): Legitimate interest in improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), where applicable.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and fatal error information so we can fix bugs and improve stability.
Data that may be processed includes:
• Crash stack traces and error messages.
• Device and app information (device model, OS version, app version).
We do not intentionally attach player names or question content to crash reports.
Firebase privacy information:
https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
We use Firebase App Check to help protect backend resources from abuse. App Check uses platform attestation (for example Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck on iOS, Play Integrity on Android) to verify that requests come from genuine app instances. Technical attestation data is processed by Google for this purpose.
If you enter a promotional license key (optional, hidden in Settings), the app checks the key against Firestore and, if valid and not yet used, marks it as activated. The following may be written to our database:
• The license key identifier.
• Activation status and a server timestamp (firstUsed).
This is not a user account and does not create a profile. License keys are promotional redemptions only; paid digital unlocks are sold through the App Store / Google Play.
We offer optional non-consumable in-app purchases (for example individual question packs, combo bundles, or ad removal). Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Data processed for purchase handling may include:
• Product identifiers and purchase / entitlement status.
• Technical receipt-related metadata needed to validate purchases and restore them on the same store account.
RevenueCat acts as our subscription and purchase infrastructure provider and processes technical purchase metadata to validate entitlements and support Restore Purchases.
RevenueCat privacy information:
https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Legal basis (EEA/UK/CH): Performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The app requests only the permissions needed for its features:
• Internet access — to sync game content, validate purchases, serve ads (free tier), and use Firebase services.
• Network status — to detect connectivity and support offline play after content is cached.
The app does not require access to your microphone, camera, photo library, contacts, or precise location to operate.
We disclose data to the following categories of recipients only as described in this policy:
• Google — AdMob, UMP, Firebase (Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check) as described above.
• Apple / Google — payment processing for in-app purchases.
• RevenueCat — purchase validation and entitlement management.
• Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.
We do not sell your personal data.
• Local app data — until you delete the app or clear its data.
• License key activation records — retained as long as needed to prevent duplicate redemption.
• Google / Firebase / AdMob data — retention is governed by Google’s policies.
• Email correspondence — if you contact us, we keep your message as long as needed to respond and as required by law.
Where the GDPR or equivalent law applies, you may have the right to:
• Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability of your personal data.
• Object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, contact us at dhappshelp@gmail.com. For data processed by Google or Apple/Google Play, you may also exercise rights directly with those providers.
We use appropriate technical measures for the data we control. Connections to our backend and third-party services use encryption (TLS/HTTPS). Local game data is stored in the app’s sandbox on your device.
Drunkmaster is not directed at children. The app references alcohol, includes optional mature (18+) content, and is intended for adults in a social party context. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone we know to be under the age required to use such content in their jurisdiction (typically 18).
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided us with personal data (for example by email), contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Google and other providers listed in this policy may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (for example EU Standard Contractual Clauses offered by Google).
We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical, or product changes. The current version is available at the URL published in the app and in the app stores. The “Last updated” date above changes when we make material updates.
