Preferably use an automatic upper arm cuff blood pressure monitor, if possible, a scientifically validated device (https://stridebp.org/bp-monitors)
Sit for 3-5 minutes in a quiet place before taking your medication, no exercise, coffee or food 30 minutes before the measurement, do not cross your legs
Forearm rests on the table, if using a wrist monitor it should be at heart level
Take 2 measurements, 1 minute apart, morning and evening, 7 days in a row, write the results down on a table
Home blood pressure targets are usually less than 135mmHg systolic and less than 85mmHg diastolic
