Doctor Thomas Nguyen studied medicine at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Magna cum laudae, ranked 5/126). He specialised in cardiology at the Brugmann University Hospital and the Academic Erasme Hospital (Magna cum laudae, Dean's Prize). He was the recipient of a scholarship from the Horlait-Dapsens Foundation. He then pursued a 2-year fellowship in Interventional cardiac electrophysiology and devices in a high volume centre in Great Britain, in London at the St Thomas' Hospital in the department of Professor Mark O'Neill.
