🏥 Surgical Referral Guidelines

DENTA CARE | Dr. Shapath Pujara (M.D.S.)

Our goal is to provide a seamless extension of your clinical practice. We accept referrals for specialized oral and maxillofacial procedures across our Maninagar and Chanakyapuri locations OR at your own clinic!

1. Core Referral Services

Dr. Shapath Pujara is available for emergency on-call consultations at hospitals across Gujarat. We provide expert management for:

Maxillofacial Trauma Referrals

Dr. Shapath Pujara is available for emergency on-call consultations at hospitals across Gujarat. We provide expert management for:

• Complex mandibular and mid-face fractures.

• Emergency fracture reduction and internal fixation (Plating).

• Post-traumatic facial reconstruction.

Surgical Assistance for Dental Clinics 

We partner with local dental clinics to perform in-house specialized surgeries, allowing general dentists to provide comprehensive care to their patients for:

• Complicated/Deeply impacted wisdom teeth.

• Advanced Implant placement and sinus lifts.

• Management of large oral cysts and biopsies.

Hospital-Based General Anesthesia 

Dr. Pujara facilitates dental and surgical treatments under General Anesthesia at affiliated multi-specialty hospitals. General Anesthesia (GA) Cases are performed mainly for:

• pediatric patients

• patients with special needs or 

• those with extreme dental phobia

2. The Referral Workflow

To ensure the highest standard of patient care, we follow a three-step coordination process:

• Step 1: Submission

Submit the patient’s details via our Digital Referral Form or WhatsApp. Please include any recent RVGs, OPGs, or CBCT scans.

• Step 2: Specialist Consultation

Dr. Shapath will conduct a surgical evaluation. For complex cases, we utilize 3D Digital Planning and will share the proposed surgical map with the referring doctor.

• Step 3: Collaborative Discharge

Upon completion of the surgical phase and initial healing, the patient is always referred back to your clinic for the final prosthetic/restorative phase. In case if major surgery Dr. Shapath will visit again within 24 hours for assessment. A full surgical summary will be provided for your records.

3. Emergency Referrals

For acute trauma, severe infections, or post-extraction complications, we prioritize same-day appointments.

4. Required Documentation

To streamline the patient’s first visit, please provide:

• Patient Contact Information and medical history highlights.

• Clinical Goal: e.g., "Requesting Implants for prosthetic rehabilitation".

• Radiographs: Digital files (DICOM or high-res JPEG) are preferred.
