At Denta Care, we believe that a damaged or missing tooth shouldn’t keep you from smiling, eating, or speaking with confidence. Our high-quality dental crowns and bridges are designed to look, feel, and function exactly like your natural teeth.
A dental crown is a custom-made "cap" that covers the entire visible portion of a damaged tooth. At Denta Care, we use crowns to:
• Protect: Strengthen a tooth weakened by decay or a large filling.
• Restore: Rebuild a tooth after a Root Canal Treatment (RCT).
• Enhance: Improve the appearance of misshapen or severely discolored teeth.
• Secure: Attach a bridge or cover a dental implant.
If you are missing one or more teeth in a row, a bridge literally "bridges the gap." It consists of a replacement tooth (or teeth) held firmly in place by crowns attached to your healthy teeth on either side. It is a stable, non-removable solution to restore your bite and prevent your other teeth from shifting.
We combine advanced digital technology with an artistic touch to ensure your restoration is perfect.
We use detailed imaging to ensure your crown or bridge fits perfectly with your natural bite. No more "bulky" or "uncomfortable" feelings—just a seamless fit.
Using premium materials like Zirconia and E-max, we match the shade, translucency, and shape of your surrounding teeth. Most people won't even realize you have a crown!
From the initial preparation to the final placement, our team ensures you are relaxed and comfortable. Like all our procedures, we focus on a pain-free experience.
Known as "ceramic steel," these are the most durable option available. They are virtually unbreakable, making them the best choice for back teeth (molars) that endure heavy chewing forces.
• Best for: Patients who grind their teeth or need maximum longevity.
• Key Benefit: Extremely strong, fracture-resistant, and biocompatible with your gums.
These are the gold standard for front-tooth restorations due to their superior beauty. They mimic the natural translucency and light-reflecting qualities of real tooth enamel better than any other material.
• Best for: Front teeth where a perfect, natural appearance is the top priority.
• Key Benefit: High aesthetic appeal and a metal-free, "life-like" look.
A time-tested hybrid option that features a strong metal substructure with a tooth-colored porcelain layer baked on top.
• Best for: Patients seeking a reliable, cost-effective balance between strength and appearance.
• Key Consideration: Over time, a thin dark line may become visible at the gumline as the metal edges peek through.
While they are the least natural-looking, they are the most "gentle" on the opposing teeth and require the least amount of tooth structure to be removed.
• Best for: Back molars where they aren't visible, or for patients with very limited space in their bite.
• Key Benefit: Exceptional wear resistance and zero risk of chipping the material.
These are milled from a single solid block of high-strength material using digital technology.
• Best for: Ensuring a highly precise fit and minimizing human error in the fabrication process.
• Key Benefit: Uniform strength throughout the entire crown, reducing the risk of layers peeling or cracking.
To ensure your restorative treatment at Denta Care heals perfectly and lasts for years to come, please follow these essential guidelines during the first 24 to 48 hours.
• Manage Bleeding: Gently bite down on the provided gauze pad for 30–45 minutes following the procedure to allow any minor bleeding to stop.
• Temperature Check: Avoid extremely hot foods or liquids for a few hours. Heat can interfere with the initial bond and may cause sensitivity while the local anesthesia is still wearing off.
• Wait to Chew: Do not bite or chew on the side of your mouth where the crown was placed for at least 24 hours. This gives the dental cement ample time to set permanently.
• Hygiene: Continue to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would. However, be exceptionally gentle around the new crown for the first few days.
• What to Avoid: Refrain from chewing gum or biting on hard objects (like ice, pencils, or fingernails). These habits can dislodge a fresh crown or damage the structural integrity of the tooth.
• Comfort: It is normal to experience some sensitivity to cold or pressure. You may take over-the-counter pain medication as needed to manage mild discomfort.
While minor sensitivity is expected, please reach out to Denta Care if you notice the following:
• Sensitivity that persists for more than one week.
• Severe pain, unusual swelling, or persistent bleeding.
• A "high" bite feeling (if the crown feels like it is hitting before your other teeth).
We will schedule a brief follow-up appointment to check the fit and ensure your gums are healing beautifully around the new restoration.
Note: These are general guidelines. Because every smile is unique, Dr. Shapath may provide you with additional specific instructions based on the material used (like Zirconia or E-max) and the condition of your tooth.
