Check-In and Dismissal Procedures:
Upon arrival to the fair, parents will sign their child in and receive a dismissal card. Parents MUST present this card to retrieve their child once they are dismissed.
We recommend taking a picture of your card in case it is misplaced.
We ask that a parent or designee remain for he duration of the fair, so that students may be dismissed in a timely manner.

Parents or sponsors will bring student project boards for set-up and sign in at the registration table near the auditorium.
Students/Parents can take pictures in front of backdrop.
What to expect?
Students will receive a folder with their research paper, abstract, and dismissal card.
Students will be escorted to the judging area to setup projects, and students will be escorted back to the auditorium to sit with their parents

Award Announcements
Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (GSEF) representatives, as well as 1st,2nd,3rd, and Honorary Mention Recipients will be emailed to schools by February 16, 2026.
Projects advancing to Georgia Science & Engineering Fair (Grades 6-12)
The 78th Georgia Science & Engineering Fair will take place March 26-28, 2026. Students may qualify for GSEF by competing at one of Georgia’s regional fairs. All GSEF exhibitors and supporting adults are responsible for knowing the information in the GSEF Exhibitor Handbook, which includes the Attendance Policy, Display & Safety Regulations, and Judging Criteria.
***Fees associated with transportation, lodging, and food for GSEF are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Projects advancing to the International Science & Engineering Fair (Grades 9-12)
The world’s largest pre-college STEM competition, Regeneron ISEF is coming to Phoenix, Arizona! The Regeneron ISEF event week will be held from May 9-15, 2026 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Regeneron ISEF 2026 will be a fully in-person event complimented by a virtual site where finalists will share their projects online. All judging and events will be in-person.
***Fees associated with transportation, lodging, and food for ISEF are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Upon arrival to the fair, parents will sign their child in and receive a dismissal card. Parents MUST present this card to retrieve their child once they are dismissed.
Students that drive will be dismissed to their cars following judging.
We recommend taking a picture of your card in case it is misplaced.
Please Note: State and International affiliations mandate that all non-participants vacate the Fair site for the duration of the DeKalb Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Congregating in the venue is strictly prohibited. Thank you for your support.
