All students who want to add my section of Chemistry 102 must add through the SIS. When an enrolled student drops, you can add onto the waitlist. I will add students into the class from the waitlist in the order at which you added.
A: No. Students will be added from the waitlist to that specific section. If you are on the Wed lab waitlist, and you cannot attend this class, please remove yourself from the waitlist. Keep checking online, when a spot opens on the Monday lab waitlist you can add to that waitlist.
The same is true if you are on the Monday Lab waitlist, but want the Wednesday lab, you need to remove yourself from the Monday waitlist and try to add to the Wednesday lab waitlist
It is possible that many students are on waitlists for the Monday and Wednesday lab class they cannot attend, and our roster is frozen. If you are on the waitlist but you have a class conflict with the lab time, you will never be added to our roster, and students who do not have time conflicts cannot add the class.
A: The system SHOULD auto-enroll you in this class. If it has not, check to see if any of these issues are keeping you out of the class;
-class conflicts
-missing prerequisites
-holds
-you are enrolled in another section of Chem 102 (if you drop this class, the you can add from the waitlist to an open seat)
-variety of other possible reasons
If the #1 student on the waitlist cannot be auto-enrolled, then the next student on the waitlist will get into the class.
Please resolve any of the issues above, and email me (harveysm@piercecollege.edu) if you cannot add the class from the waitlist.
A: The class shows as “full” because the waitlist is full but an enrolled student dropped the class. The #1 person on the waitlist has to add, and then there will be an open spot on the waitlist.
A; My Chem 102 course is already full. I suggest you add another section of Chem 102 and also try to add to the waitlist in my class. If the waitlist is full, keep checking online and when an enrolled student drops you can add in the open seat.
A: Answer coming soon.
A: No. I will add students from the waitlist if enrolled students drop or do not participate during the first three days of the semester. However, if you are in waitlist position #1 or #2, the chances that you will be added are high. I add students off the waitlist if enrolled students decide to drop the class within the first two weeks of the semester.
A: Yes. There is a 2 hour "Lab" workshop each week. You do need to be campus for these class meetings.
A: You need to be able to attend the lab you are enrolled in.
