The original Freenove FNK0053 platform was significantly enhanced through custom hardware integration and software development to create a practical embodied AI robotic system.
Key enhancements include:
MPU6050 IMU integration for improved orientation awareness
Custom Python-based autonomous navigation software
AI-powered computer vision for person detection
Multi-view scanning for improved scene understanding
Integrated embedded web control and real-time video streaming
Modular software architecture for future expansion
The robot autonomously patrols indoor environments while continuously analysing camera images using AI-based computer vision. When a person is detected, the system captures the event, generates an alert and records the detection for later review.
The modular software architecture allows additional AI capabilities and sensing technologies to be incorporated as the platform evolves.
