Work With Me
If you want to work with me as a ...
PostDoctoral Fellow
We are looking for PostDocs.
FYI, we recently hired PDFs to address several very interesting bio-informatics and medical-informatics tasks -- especially foundational topics:
Forecasting COVID-19
Counterfactual Reasoning
Understanding and using high dimensional molecular data (microarrays, SNPs, metabolic profiles, ...)
These may be applied to:
computational psychiatry
cancer screening, diagnosis, prognosis, ...
cardiovascular diseases

Possible Thesis Topics (historical)
NOTE: While I work on many projects that involve medical imaging, these are all guided by others, who are experts in that area. My area is more related to medical informatics. See topics above.
YOUR APPLICATION SHOULD INCLUDE A
'MINI RESEARCH PROPOSAL'
'MINI RESEARCH PROPOSAL'
i.e. a short description (1-2 pages) of how you would address one (or more) of those tasks
How would you start?
What tools would you use?
What resources would track down?
What tricks do you think might work?
Feel free to mention any of your existing work, if(f) it seems relevant, or to connect this to some other ideas you may have had.
NOTE: I will only consider applications that include such a description. If you write to me beforehand, be sure your email includes this summary.

If you think you qualify:
The only way to become a grad student in our program is to file an application online; see directions in the Graduate Studies Page.
If you want to work with me (with understanding that few applicants will be accepted), please indicate this in the form, and include a Statement that addresses one or more of my current "Challenge problems".
Please also email me a "Mini Research Proposal" -- see above.
