I have been happily married to my husband, Victor, for 30 years. He has a degree in Range Management from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. After working in the oil field industry across the world, he joined Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas. Victor is a true entrepreneur and successfully coordinated efforts to redevelop the original housing section in Lake Jackson. After retirement in 2016, Victor continues to manage rental property, stay politically active and volunteers for groups such as Lions Club, Boy Scouts and Equusearch.
Our daughter earned her bachelors degree from Texas A&M University in College Station and her masters from the University of Texas in Austin. She currently works as a school counselor in Austin. Our son-in-law is a data analyst who also graduated from the University of Texas. We just welcomed our first granddaughter and are excited to be "Grammy and Pop!"
Victor and I love to travel and have enjoyed trips to such places as Bali, Alaska and Key West. We enjoy visiting historic places of our country and did our "National Treasure" tour several years ago. I could spend an entire week at the Smithsonian! Our anniversary trip to Boston was cancelled due to COVID, but we hope to reschedule when we return to normal.
My faith is the directional force of my life. I also believe in the community of a local church. After playing keyboard each week in church for almost 20 years, I finally decided to pursue other areas to serve. I have also found new opportunities to minister to people I encounter each day.
