Our research focuses on answering questions related to the conservation and persistence of wildlife. We work closely with natural resource agencies to help fill critical knowledge gaps in the ecology of cryptic species and species of greatest conservation need.
Diverse research groups (like diverse ecosystems), including those that are diverse in knowledge, experiences and identities, increases productivity and creativity. The Bernard Research Lab is strongly committed to increasing the representation of traditionally excluded groups and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive research lab.
