Dr. Nayak is presently working as an Assistant Professor of Sociology in Mody University of Science and Technology, Rajasthan, India. Prior to joining the position, he taught Sociology in Pondicherry University, Puduchery and Ravenshaw University, Odisha, India. Moreover, he is empaneled as a counselor for the Masters Programme of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). With regard to his education, he obtained Graduation and Post-Graduation in Sociology from Ravenshaw Autonomous College and Bachelor of Law from M. S. Law College, Odisha. He got Doctorate in Sociology from Utkal University, Odisha, in 2013 working on the thesis entitled “Job Challenges and Coping Strategies of Women Police in Orissa- A Sociological Study in the Twin City of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar”.
The focus of his trans-disciplinary research endeavours centers around the socio-legal perspectives on crime, gender and policing. As a part of his research accomplishments, he has been making paper presentations, delivered invited lectures and chaired conference sessions organized on Socio-legal issues in different premiere universities and institutions in India. As regards to publications, his research papers have appeared in different distinguished journals and edited volumes, published by renowned publishing houses across the globe.
The basic objective of my professional career is to achieve sustainable excellence in teaching and empirical research by providing outstanding need based service. My passion is to transform the career of the students/scholars whom I serve as a professional.
