Dr. Ellis is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult, child, and adolescent care, with a fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry from the Integrative Psychiatry Institute completed in 2022. His approach focuses on identifying the root causes of mental health issues, using primarily complementary and alternative methods. He is experienced in safely deprescribing psychiatric medications when appropriate, and he takes a conservative approach to treating a range of common mental health imbalances, such as mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and ADHD (without stimulant medications). Dr. Ellis offers a personalized, whole-person approach to care. Dr. Ellis has a license to provide telehealth services in Texas and Oklahoma.
He earned his medical degree in 1995 from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His adult psychiatry training was completed at Griffin Memorial Hospital, followed by a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. He has attended numerous conferences across the country in recent years and has been trained by international leaders in the fields of integrative medicine and integrative psychiatry and remains eager to gain the most current knowledge
