NBA Pedagogy session

The NBA Pedagogy session on “SWOC Analysis for Departmental Vision and Mission” was conducted at Government Engineering College, Sector-28, Gandhinagar on 24th July 2025 under the guidance of Dr. N. A. Patel. Faculty members from Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Robotics departments actively participated. The session emphasized identifying departmental strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges (SWOC) to align with NBA’s quality benchmarks. Key aspects discussed included improving academic processes, enhancing infrastructure, promoting research, and fostering industry linkages. The session highlighted the importance of stakeholder involvement—students, faculty, alumni, parents, industries, and regulatory bodies—in shaping vision and mission statements. It also stressed the use of SWOC analysis as a strategic tool for continuous improvement, innovation, and outcome-based education. Overall, the pedagogy exercise provided a structured approach for refining departmental goals and achieving NBA accreditation standards.
