Welcome to Nanduri Lab at the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences, M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore, India
Dr. Ravikanth Nanduri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), Bengaluru. He completed his postdoctoral training at the Laboratory of Metabolism, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. He worked as an Instructor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His research focuses on understanding how stress, infections, inflammation, and epigenetic reprogramming contribute to cardiometabolic diseases, including atherosclerosis and metabolic dysfunction.
His work integrates molecular biology, immunology, epigenomics, and computational approaches to investigate the mechanisms underlying disease initiation and progression. Dr. Nanduri has contributed to several studies in immune-metabolic regulation, autophagy, nuclear receptor signaling, and host–pathogen interactions. His current research interests include stress-induced epigenetic memory, post-viral cardiometabolic complications, multi-omics analysis, and network pharmacology-based drug discovery using bioactive compounds from medicinal plants. Through interdisciplinary and translational research, his lab aims to bridge fundamental molecular discoveries with clinically relevant therapeutic strategies.
