Dr. Mei-Rong Alice Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Soochow University, Taiwan. With over 20 years of academic experience, her work sits at the intersection of AI, language education, and innovative pedagogical design.
Her research focuses on technology-enhanced language learning (TELL) and computer-assisted language learning (CALL), with a particular emphasis on how AI-driven tools, and immersive environments can meaningfully support EFL learners’ engagement, metacognition, and learning outcomes. She adopts rigorous quasi-experimental and quantitative approaches, ensuring both theoretical grounding and empirical validity.
Dr. Chen’s work has been published in leading SSCI journals, including Language Learning & Technology, Educational Technology & Society, and Educational Technology Research & Development. Her research is recognized for bridging theory and practice, demonstrating how emerging technologies can be integrated into real classrooms while maintaining pedagogical integrity and ethical awareness.
She is actively engaged in international collaboration, interdisciplinary projects, and research-driven instructional innovation, and welcomes opportunities for academic partnership, invited talks, and cross-institutional research initiatives.
陳玫蓉博士致力於協助教育研究者,在人工智慧與數位科技快速發展的時代中,重新思考「如何有效教與學英語」。她關注的核心問題是:在科技融入的環境下,如何不只是提升學習效率,更能促進學習者的理解、動機與實際語言運用能力。
現任東吳大學英文學系副教授,擁有25年以上教學與研究經驗,並於國際期刊與研討會發表近40多篇論文。她的研究聚焦於科技輔助語言學習(TELL)與電腦輔助語言學習(CALL),特別關注如何結合人工智慧、聊天機器人與沉浸式科技(如SVVR),設計具理論基礎且可實際應用於課堂的創新教學模式。
在研究方法上,她採用準實驗設計與量化分析,強調教學設計與學習成效之間的實證連結。其研究不僅關注學習成果,也重視學習歷程、學習動機與學習分析,致力於建構能夠同時兼顧理論深度與教學實務的AI教育應用框架。
