I am not so active with social media, but I try to make contributions to science outreach where I can

Art & Science

As part of my PhD I worked with ASCUS and a local Edinburgh artist, Alice B. Spicer, who kindly illustrated my thesis. We worked together to combine personal stories with the themes of my research to produce prints like this (left). Here we have a play on the evolution and recovery theme from the Permo-Triassic Mass Extinction. I was on crutches at the time due to climbing accident, which proved to be inspiration for the print.

We went on to promote the work at the Edinburgh Science Festival, where we were joined by another two artists who presented their interpretations on my work.

Dr. You

With the help of my colleague, Nolwenn Lemaitre, we contributed to an ETH radio show with an interview of PhD experiences. We tried to cover the highs and lows of PhD life, techniques to manage your work-life balance and the struggles of the supervisor-student relationship.

Science promotion

Following published work on Ocean Acidification and the Permo-Triassic extinction, I contributed to an online piece in The Guardian that corrects the misconceptions of certain vocal politicians with regard to climates science. The paper also received worldwide coverage, including The Times, Reuters and New York Times
