Thank you for viewing my digital portfolio and for your support of our school district. My leadership style has been formed by my faith and family, my colleagues and friends, and especially through education. I learned how to be nice, play fair, listen, and speak when needed. But, most of all, I realized that children are at the center of our work. We have the challenging but rewarding task of preparing youth for careers in an ever-changing world. I'm committed to being a part of the process, recognizing areas to adapt and celebrating accomplishments...but only with you.

Strategic Planning
I've led a multi-year effort to build a district strategic plan based on input from multiple stakeholders and implementing it over multiple years.
Filled with cringy (but engaging) puns, the monthly newsletter attempts to engage readers into our district's assessment program, best practices, and results.
Teacher Professional Development
Mike enjoys working with instructional staff and tailoring the work to the audience. This example of a lesson plan contains the slides, feedback instrument, and note catcher, links, and other common items in his presentations.

I am actively enrolled in the following organizations which support my leadership and growth as a deputy superintendent and district administrator:
It is my intention to join the AASA's Aspiring Superintendents Academy® during the 2023-2024 school year. In my participation, I will join a cohort of leaders throughout our country covering topics essential to developing a deep understanding of the leadership role of a successful superintendent. Program completers will be "transformational leaders who are well equipped to lead student-centered, equity-focused, future-driven schools with creativity, vision and a commitment to the Whole Learner."
