Sharing the JOY of reading and leading throughout Northeast Indiana, around the Science of Reading, by way of the Indiana Literacy Cadre (UIndy/CELL), the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE), and the Region 8 Education Service Center.
Indiana Literacy Cadre develops and implements collaborative professional development for K-3 educators across the state based on the science of reading, a compilation of evidence-based research on reading, reading development, and reading instruction. The Indiana Literacy Cadre exists to help ensure students master the foundational literacy skills they need for lifelong success and works to support schools in achieving Indiana’s goal of having 95% of all Indiana students pass IREAD-3 by 2027.
