Dr. Lucas has been practicing Optometry for 15+ years.  She graduated  from New England College of Optometry in 2009.  In 2016, Dr. Lucas acquired the practice from Dr. Gary Weingart. She had previously practiced at Virginia Eye Institute.  Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her two children and husband.  Some of her hobbies include: golfing, skiing, and vacations with her family. 

Dr. Mark MacMillan is currently our associate doctor.  He has availability on Saturdays.  Dr. MacMillan enjoys playing, coaching, and refereeing soccer.  He also likes doing things with his family.  

Office Manager

Nikki started working here in 2016 as an optometric assistant.  Her passion was to always work in healthcare.  She has grown tremendously in this field since 2016 and is now the office manager! She was married in October of 2023 to her Luke Combs-look-alike husband.  Nikki is a proud dog mom to a 2 lbs chihuahua, Baja (named after her favorite taco bell drink), and a hound mix, Copper.  In her free time she enjoys going to concerts or a good Netflix-binge.

Optometric Assistant

Mikaelyn started working here in August 2023, after being a patient of the office for almost a decade.  She recently moved into her own apartment for the first time.  She likes to stay busy; this office is only one of her four jobs.  She is also a waitress & a make-up/spray tan artist.  Mikaelyn likes to attend college football games and go line dancing.  Be sure to ask her about her secret passion, yodeling!
