I hold a PhD in cognitive and applied psychology from the University of Western Australia, complemented by two undergraduate degrees and an honours program. My research during my PhD focused on human factors and the application of cognitive psychology in understanding human interactions with automation, particularly in aviation and defence settings.
My academic journey has honed my skills in statistics, programming, and effective written and oral communication. I am adept at applying these skills to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets and effectively convey research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
As an ardent educator, I have tutored and mentored students in advanced research methodology and statistics and have engaged in private tutoring to provide personalized support. Additionally, I have pursued professional development courses in education.
My academic load-stone is to apply my expertise to drive innovation in education and pursue my wide range of research interests to further knowledge creation and understanding in psychology.
I am actively involved in fostering relationships between psychological scientists and the community in my role as the webmaster for the Australasian Human Development Association; and as a member of the Engagement and Impact Committee at the University of Western Australia where I manages the School's Facebook presence.
