Privacy policy — UAE Theory Test
Last updated: 7 September 2026
The short version
You can use the whole app without an account, and if you do, nothing about you
leaves your phone.
If you choose to create an account, we store your email address and your answer
history so your progress survives losing your phone. That is the only reason it
exists. There are no adverts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind, signed
in or not.
What is stored on your device
Everything the app needs to work:
• which questions you have answered, and whether you got them right
• your mock exam results
• your settings — emirate, language, audio
• if signed in, a session token so you are not asked to sign in every time
This lives in the app's own storage. Other apps cannot read it. Uninstalling the
app deletes all of it.
What is stored on our server, and only if you sign in
The app uses Supabase (https://supabase.com) for accounts and support. Nothing
below happens unless you choose it.
If you create an account:
• Your email address. Used to send your sign-in link or code, and to identify
your account. Nothing else. We do not email you for any other reason.
• Your answer history — the same question records listed above, plus your
mock results, so a new phone can restore them.
• An account identifier. When the account is created it is given a random
ID, and that ID is what each of your progress records is filed under. It is
not derived from anything about you and means nothing outside this app.
If you use "Report a problem":
• The messages you type, and the question you were looking at when you opened
it. Kept so we can reply and so we can fix what you reported.
Rows are readable only by the account that created them. This is enforced by the
database itself (row-level security), not by the app asking nicely.
What is never collected
No name, phone number, or date of birth. No location. No contacts, photos,
camera, or microphone. No advertising identifier. No analytics of any kind — the
app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising library, and none of
your answers are used to build a profile of you.
We cannot see what you answered unless you signed in, and even then it is a list
of question numbers, not a report about you.
When the app touches anything outside your device
1. Signing in. Your email address is sent to Supabase so it can email you a
sign-in link or code.
2. Syncing progress. While signed in, your answer records are sent to and
read from Supabase. Signed out, this never runs.
3. Reporting a problem. What you type is sent to Supabase so we can read and
reply to it.
4. Checking configuration. The app reads one row of public settings — whether
the paid version is enabled, and its price — which contains nothing about you
and is sent no matter who you are.
5. Read aloud. If you turn on audio, the question text goes to your device's
own speech engine. On Android that engine may send the text to Google's
servers rather than reading it on the phone. That is your device's speech
setting, not ours, and you can turn the feature off in Settings.
6. Sharing. If you press share, the text goes wherever you choose to send it.
Nothing is sent until you pick a destination.
Where it is stored
Supabase, on servers in the region chosen for the project. Supabase acts as our
data processor. Their privacy terms are at
supabase.com/privacy (https://supabase.com/privacy).
Purchases
If a paid version is offered, the payment is handled by Google Play or the App
Store. We never see your card details. We only learn that a purchase for your
store account exists, which is what restores your purchase on a new phone.
Children
The app is for people learning to drive and is not directed at children under 13.
Signed out, it collects nothing from anyone of any age.
Deleting your data
Signed out: uninstall the app. Everything is on your device, so it goes with
it, and there is nothing for you to ask us to delete.
Signed in: email the address below and ask for your account to be deleted. We
delete the account, its answer history and any support messages. Deleting the
account does not touch the copy on your phone — Settings → Reset progress clears
that, and Settings → Backup lets you keep a copy first.
Your rights
If you are in the UAE, the EU, or the UK, you may ask what personal data we hold
about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Signed
out we hold none. Signed in, write to the address below and we will answer within
30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new version replaces
the old at the same URL. Material changes will be noted in the app.
