Effective date: October 15, 2026
App: DriveCast for iPhone and CarPlay
Contact: contact@adxsdk.com
DriveCast has no account, no ads and no tracking.
Your audio, video, playlists and transcripts stay on your iPhone. We do not upload them.
We run no servers that receive your data, so we do not collect, store, sell or share your personal information.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services in the app.
DriveCast stores the following only on your device:
Your media. Files you import from Photos or Files, and playlists you import.
Your library details. Titles, durations, favorites, where you stopped, bookmarks, chapter marks and watch history.
Transcripts. If you ask DriveCast to make a transcript, the text and its timings are saved on your iPhone so you can search them. You can delete one or all of them in Settings.
Dashcam clips. If you import dashcam clips, DriveCast reads the date, time and, if the file contains it, location information from the file so it can group clips into trips. This stays on your iPhone and is not shown on a map or sent anywhere.
Browser data. Bookmarks, and the cookies and website data kept by Apple's WebKit for the sites you visit.
Settings and searches. Your preferences and up to eight recent search terms from the car screen. Web addresses are not kept as recent searches.
Diagnostic logs. The app writes basic logs on your device to help fix problems. They are not uploaded. They do not include your file names, web addresses or media content.
You can remove this data at any time with the controls in the app, or by deleting DriveCast.
Photos. Only when you choose to import from Photos, and only for the items you pick.
Files. Only the files and folders you select.
Speech recognition. Used for transcripts. It runs on your iPhone with Apple's on-device speech technology. The first time you use a language, iOS may download Apple's speech model. Apple manages that download.
DriveCast does not use your microphone, camera, contacts, calendar or precise location, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. Websites you open in DriveCast's browser are not allowed to use your camera, microphone or motion sensors.
DriveCast sends data over the internet only in these cases, and we do not receive it:
Links you add. If you add a direct media link, your iPhone asks the server that hosts the file to send it. That server can see your IP address and the usual technical details of a request. Its own privacy policy applies.
Websites you visit. The in-app browser works like any web browser. The sites you open receive normal web requests and may set cookies. Their own privacy policies apply. You can clear browsing data in Settings.
AirPlay and CarPlay. When you play on a car display or another AirPlay device, your iPhone sends the media directly to that device using Apple's technology. Your car or device maker may have its own policies.
Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card or payment details.
Siri and Shortcuts. If you use DriveCast with Siri, Apple's own privacy terms apply to how Siri handles your request.
DriveCast relies on Apple services and frameworks, including the App Store, StoreKit, CarPlay, AirPlay, WebKit, Siri and Apple's speech technology. Apple's privacy policy applies to your use of those services. If you choose to share app analytics with developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous information such as crash counts and downloads. It does not identify you.
DriveCast is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information, there is nothing to remove, but you can contact us with any concern.
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You control your data on your device:
Remove a video or audio item from the Library.
Clear History, Clear Cache and Clear Recent Car Searches in Settings.
Delete All Transcripts in Settings.
Clear Browsing Data and Remove All Bookmarks in Settings.
Delete the app to remove everything it stores.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, California or another place with privacy rights, you may contact us to ask what we hold. We will reply within the time the law requires.
Your library is kept in the app's private storage on your iPhone and is protected by your device's own security. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so please keep your iPhone updated and protected with a passcode.
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or on the App Store page. Please check it from time to time.
