A camera is not just a tangible product, but a tool for freezing a moment and depicting intangible emotions. Photography and Film Making are the ways to explore the features of this artistic tool and one must be well-familiar with the vital aspects of it.

DRISHYAM, The Film Making & Photography Cell is one of the cells of P.G.D.A.V. College (Eve.), which provides students with tremendous opportunities to enhance their photography and filmmaking skills and also gives students the support and guidance they need in order to follow their passion for an unconventional career path. 

Drishyam means a sight/visual. Our society aims at capturing amazing and unique sights that captivate the audience and try to build a connection between the sight and the viewer. 

Our society has organized photo walks for photography enthusiasts at archaeological, environmental, historical, and places with cultural heritage to develop the art of capturing moments. The sole objective of Drishyam is to contribute to nurturing the latent talent of interested individuals. 

Drishyam is also a platform for mentoring members and photography enthusiasts on the basics of photography, composition, and photo-editing on software like Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, Lightroom, etc. under the mentorship of our experienced core members. Along with this, various photography events are organized by the team where experienced keynote speakers are invited to put forward their learnings. The members here get a lot of opportunities for self-exploration by participating in these photo walks, events and inter-college photography competitions. The society also has a dedicated Facebook and Instagram page where the creativity of the member students is regularly uploaded.
