Celebrating Excellence: Dr. Francis D’Souza Receives the 2025 Eminent Faculty Award
Dr. Francis D’Souza has been honored with the 2025 Eminent Faculty Award, recognizing his outstanding achievements in research, leadership, and innovation.
Since joining the University of North Texas Chemistry Department in 2011, Dr. D’Souza has continued to build upon his international reputation as a pioneering researcher and a respected leader in global scientific organizations. A foremost expert in porphyrin chemistry, a field at the forefront of converting light into usable energy, Dr. D’Souza’s work bridges traditional and modern synthesis methods, pushing the boundaries of molecular design and energy science. Under his leadership, the D’Souza Lab has secured over $4 million in funding as Principal Investigator or Co-PI, supported primarily by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
