Brief Profile

Working as a Managing Director (MD) at ITTEHAD Medical & Diagnostic Complex (IMDC) Amberi Kala (27300) Karak and a Provisionally Associate Professor/Principal as well as Head of the Department for Medical Laboratory Technology at Professional College of Medical Sciences (PCMS) Chokara (27300) Karak, affiliated with Khyber Medical University Peshawar (KMU); https://www.kmu.edu.pk/ (KPK) Pakistan. In addition to delivering lectures, I am also engaged in various research activities, domain of My research work includes analysis of regulatory mechanisms (genetics & epigenetics) in cancer and normal tissues. In addition to this, we are working to optimize various laboratory protocols and to develop various clinical/research laboratory kits/reagents for prompt diagnosis of pathological abnormalities in clinical setup.

I pursued my Ph.D work at Cancer Genetics & Epigenetics Lab, Department of Biosciences COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan and earned my Ph.D. degree in the field of Biosciences (Biochemistry & Molecular Biology) in 2018. My research was focused on the genetics and epigenetic characterization of tumor suppressor Rbl2/p130 gene in breast cancer. During the PhD we have also worked to promoter methylation, nucleosomes positioning, mutational analysis and mRNA and protein expression analysis of Rbl2/p130 in breast cancer tissues (diseased & ANCT) using various biotechnological approaches. Other than the PhD work, I was also worked on the different projects such as liver pathogenicity, oesophageal carcinoma, cardiovascular diseases and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD).

In the tenure, we have published several peer reviewed articles in world reputed international journals.

Currently we have established our own health care setup named as "ITTEHAD Medical & Diagnostic Complex (IMDC)" under Section 12 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission Act 2015 with Registration #: HCCR9212023 at Amberi Kala (27300) District Karak-Pakistan.
