The NETS data license ended December 2020. The data are no longer available for use.
Users requesting access to the NETS datasets are required to affirm adherence to terms specified in our data terms of agreement, and are expected to include an appropriate acknowledgement in any resulting papers or conference presentations.
Authorized Users (current students, faculty, and staff) of Drexel University may access and use the NETS datasets solely for the purpose of nonprofit, academic efforts including classroom assignments, student projects, or scholarly publications while enrolled or employed at Drexel University.
DATA SHARING:
Access to the NETS datasets via the Amazon S3 environment is intended for use by individual researchers and access to this environment and the NETS datasets may not be shared. If you have an additional analyst who will be working with you and using this data, please have them submit a form to access the datasets.
Data from the NETS datasets may not be re-posted on any publicly accessible web site, multi-user network or platform.
USE OF DATA:
Authorized Users should retain only local copies on password-protected endpoints on their Drexel University–owned computers or their Drexel One Drive space.
The licensed data can not be saved to a personal computer, flash drive, Dropbox or other cloud space. It must remain in a Drexel hosted space.
Authorized Users may access and download the datasets through December 30, 2020. After this date, the right to use the business level datasets for new research shall terminate. In the event that a professional journal or other publication needs confirmation, verification or re-estimation of results in a referenced paper produced with the licensed data, the term will be automatically extended to accommodate such use.
The census tract and zipcode tabulation aggregations of NETS data will continue to be available after December 30, 2020 for new research.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the RECVD Research Coordinator (gslovasiresearch@gmail.com).
Current Drexel University students, faculty, and staff may request access to NETS datasets by verifying their Drexel affiliation, and are required to affirm adherence to terms specified in our data users terms in the Data Access Request Form and noted above.
