Li Yang, is a research-oriented artist known for his deep analysis of dreams and their potential as a method for artistic creation. Graduating with a bachelor's degree from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2001 and a master's degree in 2005, he also holds a Ph.D. from the School of Experimental Art. He is now an associate professor in the Mural Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Li Yang emphasizes social concern and inner exploration in his contemporary art practice, having been a dream worker for twenty-nine years and the founder of the "Dream Research Institute Art·Psychology" project. His work explores the complex relationships between dreams and psychology, personal and social unconscious, and creativity, aiming for an artistic healing that transforms individuals through dreams. Utilizing diverse artistic expressions, he delves into universal questions about human existence, employing the emotional power of color, brushwork, and texture. His strong foundational skills in form allow him to create vivid and effortless compositions.
