*The reason it's so pricey is because the older the computer is the harder it is to find good, working parts. And sometimes that price is astronomical. On a similar note, the price of newer parts for newer computers is also steep.
**The smaller the electronic is, the harder is to repair because how careful you have to be to not accidentally break a flex cable.

PLEASE NOTE!! I do not work on Linux computers. I'm not versed enough on Linux to be able to properly asses issues if it's not a physical issue.

Computer

Computer/Tower builds come in a few flavors.

• Modifying a pre-build: $50 + parts

• Full Build w/ parts (upfront; I'll need the money to purchase parts)

  • below $1000 basic build (functional)

  • $1000 - $1300 adequate build (functional + performance)

  • $1400 - $2000 decent build (functional + performance + fidelity)

  • $2100 - $3000 gamer's build (high functionality + high performance + high fidelity)

  • $3100 - $4000 streamer's build (superior functionality + superior performance + superior fidelity)

  • $4100 + top-secret government build (supercomputer, you're building a supercomputer at this point)

• Full Build w/o parts: $100 (you buy the parts, I build it out)

The smaller the tower the more expensive the parts tend to cost. (Not always, but sometimes.)

Laptop

Laptops are tricky when it comes to pricing but I'll explain it best I can.

• Modifying a pre-built: $50 + parts

• Full Build w/part (upfront; need the money to buy the parts)

  • Functional build: ~$800*

  • Gamer's build: ~$900 - $1500*

  • Streamer's build: ~$1600+*

• Full Build w/o parts: $100 (you buy the parts, I build it out)
