Dr. Bindu Singh, the Principal Investigator of Laboratory of Infectious Disease Immunology and Control (IDIC), is an Assistant Professor in Department of Biological Sciences at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal. She is an enthuastic immunologist and cell biologist, with her research focused on finding treatment strategies for Tuberculosis (TB)/ HIV co-infections. She did her Doctorate from National Institute of Immunology, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Later, she moved to the United States of America to pursue her post-doctoral research at Southwest National Primate Research Center, Texas Biomedical Research Institute. Here, she gained expertise in Non-human primate models of infectious diseases particularly- Tuberculosis, SIV and SARS-CoV-2 and had extensively worked on several NIH supported projects involving non-human Primate models.
