About me
Abdelkader Nasreddine Belkacem, PhD (BMI researcher)
Hi! Welcome to my professional homepage. This is basically a web page about my research on Biomedical Engineering, Brain Machine Interface (BMI) and Neuroscience. Please feel free to explore this website, leave a comment in the end of the navigation panel "Extras", and don't hesitate to contact me if you want any additional information or if you are interested by a research collaboration.
I was born in Relizane, Algeria, on October 31, 1984. I received the engineering degree in Electronics (Engineer) in 2006 from University of Abdelhamid Ibn Badis, Mostaganem, Algeria, and Magister (≥ Master degree) in computer vision and pattern recognition in 2010 from University of Sciences and Technology of Oran, Algeria, where I became interested in brain signals processing. Driven by this interest, I joined the laboratory of Prof. Makoto Sato in October 2011 then the laboratory of Prof. Yasuharu Koike in March 2012 as research student at Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Kogyo Daigaku), Japan. In 2015, I got my Ph.D degree during two and a half years from Tokyo Institute of Technology which was a great success. From 2015 to 2019, I was a Researcher then an Assistant Professor at Osaka University, Japan. Since 2019, I joined the UAEU as an an Assistant Professor.
My research is mainly devoted to eye movements and brain machine interface using human magneto- and electro-encephalography (MEG/EEG).
My strengths are hardworker, self motivating and dedicated towards my work. And also I'm a good learner as well as teacher.
My resume is available here.
