Training for Staff Who Work with Children

Here are some examples of training that can be provided: autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, literacy difficulties and dyslexia, social skills, understanding and managing behaviour and emotions, attachment, language and communication needs, differentiating teaching, writing IEPS and provision mapping. Please contact me for further topic areas. Consultation can also be provided on school-wide issues, such as policy development and special educational needs provision.

Training for Undergraduates and Postgraduates

Here are some examples of training that can be provided: theories of child development, classroom and behaviour management, inclusion and special educational needs, psychodynamic thinking in education, systemic theory in education, psychology of groups, solution focussed approaches, acceptance and commitment therapy, process consultation, and supervision. My Teaching Experience

I have qualifications and experience in providing initial teacher training and supervision, supervision of trainee psychologists, teaching primary and secondary aged students, teaching in mainstream and special education, teaching at Associate Degree level, and Doctoral level, as well as providing training and continuing professional development to existing teachers, teaching assistants and educational psychologists.

Providing professional individual and group supervision to psychologists, trainee psychologists, and other related professionals.

Staff Support and Supervision

Providing staff support/supervision and coaching on issues related to individual children, groups of children, teaching and learning and organisational issues. Following a consultation model, this will enable you to have some time and space to discus an issue or concern, to offload and to create strategies and solutions.
