Dr Andrea Dennison
I have practised as a Chartered and Registered Educational Psychologist since 2002. I am registered with the Barbados Paramedical Professions Council and the UK's Health and Care Professions Council, and have a current enhanced DBS certificate. I am also a qualified teacher, and taught in mainstream and special schools for 9 years prior to training as an Educational Psychologist. I have a Doctorate degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Educational Psychology, a Masters degree in Special Education (Autism and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties), and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (teaching qualification), as well as an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Politics. I undertake regular professional development.
I am involved with the Barbados Society of Psychology as well as the UK Association of Educational Psychologists, and have appeared on Barbadian TV and radio, and been invited to speak as a guest at UWI (Cave Hill) (https://issuu.com/uwicavehill/docs/chill-26-2022/s/15082811), along with being a consultant Academic and Professional Tutor to the Doctorate in Educational Psychology training course at the University of Exeter in the UK.
