Our Mission

It is our goal to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes. As well as to reduce the stigma around the disease and raise funds for research looking for a cure.

This statement is something that we agree with and feel on a very personal level. Diabetics deal with enough stress already because of their illness. They do not need the added stress of having stigma around their disease. Read this statement and remember it.

" It only takes a finger prick"

Our motto is "It only takes a finger prick". If you or some one you know is showing signs of Type 1 Diabetes a simple finger prick can tell you whether or not you need to worry. A finger prick will tell you what your blood glucose (sugar) is at. If your blood sugar is high it could mean you have diabetes. These finger pricks save lives!
