About us
"We are an educational community of the Congregation of Holy Cross that aspires for each person to be the protagonist of his or her education and to harmoniously develop his or her potential".
Ave Crux Spes Unica - Hail the Cross, our only Hope
As an educational community of the Congregation of Holy Cross and a memeber of the Alliance for Catholic Education, we want to serve with zeal “to make God known, loved, and served,” that was the charge that Blessed Basile Moreau, our founder, gave the Congregation of Holy Cross.
Recte ad ardua
Our motto "Recte ad ardua" (right to the difficult), encourages us to face the challenges we face with determination and will to overcome.
We promote an education of excellence in academics as well as in spiritual, personal and social development. We encourage industriousness, creativity, reflective and critical thinking, responsibility, the joy of learning, autonomy accompanied by a spirit of collaboration, both with their peers and with their teachers and authorities. We also promote perseverance, the development of willpower, respect for the rights of each person and the fulfillment of their duties.
Georgian spirit
The Georgian spirit is crossed h, honesty, perseverance, friendship towards fellow students and respect and affection towards teachers; also by high academic performance, leadership within the student community, service to the weakest and commitment to the country.
Our hallmark is "Recte ad ardua", that is, to go straight to the difficult, inspired by St. George and by the religious of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
The Georgian spirit seeks to form well-rounded men and women, who put mind and heart at the service of others. The "Best Georgian" award is the realization of this and the highest recognition of the school to one of its students. The award, which dates back to 1955, is presented by the priests and brothers of the Congregation of Holy Cross to a student of each generation who, throughout his or her life at the school, embodies Christian values, responsibility and academic excellence, leadership skills and joy.
