Vulgar Typographic Statements 10/14/2025 - "Create five typographic posters; these should be rough layouts made in Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign. Each is based on one interesting statement you hear each day. The goal is to use simple typographic methods to transform everyday statements – ranging from mundane to outlandish – into visually engaging posters. Prioritize typography, using minimal graphics.
For cohesion, consider carrying over one design element from the previous day's poster. Show how you can notice metaphors and ironies in everyday life and express them through quick typographic solutions. Be playful and expressive, but strike a balance between fun and restraint."
QR CODE POSTERS FOR EMONITE 10/22/2025 - "Choose a business, brand, social cause or awareness campaign and create a poster that integrates a QR code into the design. Along with the QR code, your sketches can include typography, a line drawing or photography."
EVENT POSTERS FOR MUSIC FOR THE MASSES 11/19/2025 - "Research an event on Eventbrite.com or another event that has not yet been held. You can use Google or Pinterest to create a mood board of images that reflect the event's visual style. Deliverables: The main graphic, plus three elements. One element must be digital. Examples include NYC Digital Kiosk, MTA subway platform screens, website, Evite (800px x 1000px), interactive games, digital photo booth, digital kiosk, poster, printed ticket, menu, or merchandise such as T-shirts and tote bags."
